# At 54, Michel’le Finally Confirms What Dr. Dre & Suge Knight Did to Her
At 54, Michel’le, the R&B singer who helped shape West Coast hip-hop, has broken her silence about the horrific abuse she endured from Dr. Dre and Suge Knight.
For decades, whispers of black eyes and broken bones circulated, but the full extent of her suffering remained hidden—until now. Her revelations expose not just the violence, but an industry that turned a blind eye because Dre made hits and Suge was untouchable.

Dre threatened legal action over his portrayal, but Michel’le stood firm. The 2015 *Straight Outta Compton* film omitted her entirely, ignoring her pivotal role and pain, prompting her to demand accountability, not fame.
