Simon Guobadia Says He Regrets Marrying Ex Porsha Williams And Believes Her Alleged Motive Was Financial Gain

Simon Guobadia Implies Porsha Williams Played Him For A Fool

In a new interview with Page Six, released Wednesday, June 25, Simon made it clear he regrets ever putting a ring on Porsha. The former couple, who were married for just 14 months, saw their marriage crash and burn, and Simon has some strong thoughts about it.

He claims Porsha had certain motives from the jump, and he’s kicking himself for falling for it.

“I kept asking, ‘Why did you file for a divorce?’ And she wouldn’t say anything,” Simon Guobadia spilled, adding that he couldn’t even get through to her family. “This felt like a coup. … I was totally blindsided.”

He’s not buying that Porsha was in it for love, saying she never gave him a heads-up about her issues before slapping him with divorce papers in February 2024. “If you’re married, you discuss issues… you don’t just file!” he said.

Furthermore, he claims Porsha slid into his DMs right after his split from ‘RHOA’ star Falynn Guobadia, catching him at his lowest. “I think I was targeted.

I was targeted from day one for financial reasons,” he said. Meanwhile, touching on their surprisingly fast engagement, Simon reflected, “Getting engaged in 30 days … who does that? I was out of my goddamn mind!” 

Simon Breaks Down What Porsha Will Get From Her Court Win

The courtroom drama between Simon Guobadia and Porsha was messier than a ‘RHOA’ reunion, chile. However, Porsha ultimately came out on top.

As The Shade Room previously reported, a judge upheld their prenup, shutting down Simon’s attempt to void it. He claimed Porsha misled him about returning to the Bravo show and was supposed to be a stay-at-home wife. But the court wasn’t hearing it.

So, what exactly is Porsha walking away with? Simon dished that she’s getting $40,000 a month in alimony for the 14 months they were married… that’s $560,000, y’all! Additionally, she gets to stay in their $7 million Atlanta mansion. All expenses and the mortgage are covered for up to three years.

If she wants to keep the property in the long run, she’ll need to refinance it and pay Simon 50% of the equity. But Simon’s not done fighting, though.

While he says he’s never fought against a prenup with one of his ex-wives in the past, this one is different. In fact, he vows to take his upcoming appeal all the way to the Supreme Court if necessary. “I’m appealing this decision,” he declared.

Simon Claps Back At Porsha, Revealing In Court How She Paid His Child Support

But there’s more. While they were fighting it out in court, Porsha told the judge she stepped up to pay some of Simon Guobadia’s child support after the mother of his sons reached out, worried about her kids.

After Simon’s incarceration, it was unclear whether he’d be released, or better yet, whether he would even be allowed to remain in the country. Porsha took it upon herself to help where she could, as revealed in this clip captured by a social media user on X.

But Simon’s calling cap on the whole thing, claiming it was all just for show. He says she only sent two $2,500 payments, which didn’t even cover his kids’ basic needs. “That didn’t even necessarily cover anything,” he said. “In my opinion, it was not done in good faith. It was done to give a narrative in court or to the public.”
